Ruthie, I am the Nana of three kids who live at the High Plains Childrens Home. I feel so lucky to have them close to me & where they're loved & kept safe. I appreciate your visit to them showing them that life still has so many wonderful things in store for them regardless of their less than perfect start in life. Thanks a million.

Came across a video of you playing Maggot Brain; was blown away. Decided to do a quick google search for you name, and lo and behold, you're Miss El Paso. Pardon me, while I pick my jaw up off of the floor.

Ruthie, Yow! Just got through watching your video. You are fantastic! How'd you learn to play like that? It has to be a gift from God. And your singing is inspirational. Keep up the Good Work! Share your talent with the world. I would love to share a stage with you someday. Blues Boy Willie, King of the Juke Joint Blues. www.bluesboywillie.net

What a wonderful platform...Music education is something that NEEDS to be stressed and paid more attention to. If schools have budget cuts, the music MUST stay!

Hi Ruthie, Love your music and want to add my voice to your E-mc2'd mission. I personally was in marching band for 4 years, 2 of which were university. I am currently working with the music educator for an elementary school here in Ocala, FL. She has a master's degree with additional training in music therapy. We have a large number of students with disabilities at our school. Due to budget cuts we may not have her next year. I have written our governor, legislators and talked with numerous people to see what can be done. I make Daisy Rock guitar pick jewelry that I sell on eBAY and hope to raise awareness of promoting women rockers. I do this at the school too, there are several little women Daisy Rockers, Yeh! Keep playing that great music and please do what you can to raise awareness of how important Music Education is for our public education system! Thanks! Alaine Roberts
